A British man was sentenced to jail for raping a 13-year-old girl in the 1970s. The girl fell pregnant from the rape and gave her daughter up for adoption. The now 74-year-old man admitted to having sex with the victim, claiming she consented. A British court jailed a rapist for 11 years on Tuesday on the basis of DNA evidence from the daughter conceived in the attack decades earlier. But her daughter, who like the victim cannot be identified for legal reasons, found out the circumstances of her conception when she turned 18.
