24 August marks the 31st anniversary of Ukraine’s independence. Ukraine's independence is now under threat. Unlike Russia, Ukraine is a peace-loving country and has never attacked any independent state. We share a common desire for Russia's invasion to end quickly and for peace to return to Ukraine. Six months after Russia's invasion, it is vital that the international community continues to stand up for the UN Charter and global peace.
