Delays in building the Zayed National Museum mean that it will probably not be completed before its deal with the British Museum expiresThe British Museum will miss out on an estimated hundreds of thousands of pounds because of delays in building a partner museum in Abu Dhabi. The museum struck a ten-year partnership with the Zayed National Museum in 2009 under which it would help to curate exhibitions and lend objects in return for fees paid by the Gulf state. Building delays of the museum, designed by Lord Foster of Thames Bank, mean that construction has not begun and is unlikely to be completed by the time the partnership ends in 2019.
