British Lions great Guscott says 'Boks are one-trick ponies, but it's a good trick'

Former England centre Jeremy Guscott believes the Springboks are "one-trick ponies, but it's a good trick", which the British and Irish Lions will need to nullify during the three-Test series later this month. Famous for his Lions tour-clinching drop-goal at Kings Park during the 1997 Lions series in South Africa, Guscott toured all three major Southern Hemisphere nations in 1989 (Australia), 1993 (New Zealand) and 1997. "They are 'one trick'... it's a good trick, but it's fallible," said Guscott. "OK, they scored some tries in the second Test (three tries in Durban), but they had nowhere to go. "If they don't win the collisions, they won't win the Test series.
