British Airways 'temporarily suspends' Calgary-London winter flights

Twelve years after they were launched, British Airways winter flights between Calgary and London's Heathrow Airport will be "temporarily suspended" later this year, CBC News has learned. "As such, British Airways will be temporarily suspending flights between Calgary and London over the winter period. The Calgary International Airport says travellers still have lots of options. "Albertans will continue to be well served to international destinations including London through our more than 80 non-stop routes," the airport said in a statement. "We're pleased to see international passenger traffic continuing to rise at YYC with over 11 per cent growth year to date."
