Crew members are said to have had no option but to store the corpse at the back of the plane, which has a heated floor. But, to put it bluntly, if a passenger has already died, that is not viewed as an emergency. According to International Air Transport Association guidelines, if a passenger dies mid-flight, their body should be placed in a body bag or covered with a blanket up to the neck.
