It appears Winnipeg Blue Bombers season-ticket holders have a pretty healthy appetite for the NFL. Ticket sales for the NFL pre-season between Green Bay and Oakland scheduled for Winnipeg in August were at just under 5,000 after the first 24 hours. Sales are limited to season-ticket holders until Saturday, when they open to the general public. The game, Thursday Aug. 22, will mark the NFL’s first foray into Canada since the Buffalo Bills played regular-season games in Toronto from 2008-13. It’s the third week of the NFL pre-season, when starters typically see more playing time, meaning stars like Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Oakland receiver Antonio Brown are likely to suit up for a significant portion of the game.
