There are many problems in managing e-commerce taxation, Nguyễn Thị Lan Anh, head of the General Department of Taxation (GDT)’s small and medium-sized enterprises, household and individual tax management department, said. Households and individuals involved in e-commerce often lack business and tax registration addresses, she said. In many cases, they use other people's information to register their business, making it difficult for the tax authorities, she said. It plans to set up a database using information from taxpayers, tax authorities, inspections, and third parties.
