Holding the World Cup in the North would bring a massive injection of cash, jobs and tourism to areas most in need of an economic boost. The only time the World Cup has been held here was in 1966, when Bobby Moore led the team to a 4-2 victory in the final against West Germany at Wembley. (Image: PA WIRE)Russia claimed hosting the World Cup last year added up to £23billion to the economy and created 220,000 jobs.
