With British Summer Time ending on Sunday morning, mountain-lovers are getting set for the start of the colder season in the hills. With that in mind, Mountaineering Scotland is suggesting people go better prepared as well as brushing up on their navigation skills. The colder weather means that you will need to have items that can keep you warm and sheltered from the elements if you need to wait for help. The membership organisation is hosting night navigation courses throughout November to help people deal with getting off the hill safely. Check the weather forecast, think how the weather will impact on your day, there is nothing wrong in turning back.
