Kellogg Rural Leadership Programme Director Anne Hindson says the programme has a good relationship with Young Farmers. The New Zealand National Fieldays Society is ensuring the event heads into its second half-century with a strong, best practice governance in place to support the organisation in the years ahead with its Future Leaders Programme. Carr says the Society has deliberately refrained from expanding the number of Future Leaders at this stage and, by default, watering down the opportunities that present themselves. Almost one year on, the group have not disappointed and Fieldays Society board director Peter Carr says they are proud of the programme members, all of them academically bright and making worthwhile professional contributions to the wider agricultural industry.
