OTTAWA—The federal Liberal government on Monday named Brig.-Gen. Krista Brodie to replace Maj.-Gen. Dany Fortin who stepped down three days ago as commander of a complex federal vaccine delivery operation that is at a pivotal point. “Brigadier-General Brodie has played a pivotal role in the vaccine rollout as part of the initial deployment to the agency in November. She added, “as Minister O’Regan said, we’ve had 20 million doses delivered to provinces as of last Friday. We’ve got another 50 million coming before the end of June which is super exciting for Canadians.”However, there is not “another 50 million” doses coming. It made no mention at all of the disruption to the leadership of the vaccine delivery operation.
