In September last year, Tat Meng was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident along Putty Road in the Garland Valley region and was admitted to intensive care. Tat Meng previously coached Zii Jia from 2023 until the end of 2024 and was instrumental in helping the former Asian champion secure a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics.
