Bridgestone is partnering Africa’s largest airline group to launch a join-project targeting more efficient, sustainable and safer airport operations. The tyre giant will collaborate with Ethiopian Airlines and Ethiopian Airports at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport to reduce foreign object debris (FOD) on the airport grounds. Tackling this issue will result in safer and more reliable flight operations. This marks the first time Bridgestone is working continuously and simultaneously with an airline and an airport on a jointly developed solution.
