Bridgerton has beaten its own record, with season 2 taking the title of most-watched English language show on Netflix. Forbes reports that the second season of the regency era drama based on the novels by Julia Quinn has set a new record with 627.11 million hours viewed. The first season garnered 625.47 million hours viewed in its first four weeks when it premiered on Christmas in 2020. Season two follows Viscount Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) in his quest for love. While Bridgerton has set a new record for an English language show, the Korean drama Squid Game still holds the overall record of 1.65 billion hours in its first 28 days.
