Photo: RNZThe 22-year-old accused of shooting and seriously injuring a man on a Christchurch bridge will remain behind bars until his next court appearance. Jesse Grimwood appeared in the Christchurch District Court on Wednesday morning and did not seek bail or name suppression. Police allege Grimwood shot a man in the shoulder following a disagreement on Sunday night at the intersection of Radley St and Ferry Rd in Woolston. Grimwood was charged with two counts of unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful possession of a pistol, unlawfully carrying an imitation firearm, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. Grimwood allegedly fled the scene after the shooting and was found by police on Tuesday.
