LEGAZPI CITY –– Two days after Typhoon “Tisoy” (international name: Kammuri) battered Bicol region, more than 90 families in two barangays were still isolated in Albay town. Noel Ordoña, head of Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO) of Pio Duran, said the storm surge destroyed the bridge that connects the coastal barangays and town center areas. ADVERTISEMENTBased on the partial report, in Barangay Marigondon, 24 families whose houses were damaged by the typhoon, are taking temporary shelter in Marigondon National High School. In Barangay Basicao, at least 68 families were still housed in Basicao Coastal Elementary School. Abundio Nuñez, operation officer of Albay Public Safety and Emergency Management Office, said relief goods were transported using a motorized banca.
