BAHAWALPUR: A newlywed woman was killed on Sunday by her in-laws for not bringing ‘sufficient’ dowry. Police said that Ayesha got married with a man hailing from Uch Sharif area of district Bahawalpur some 10 days earlier. Father of the deceased girl said that the husband and in-laws of Ayesha, soon after the wedding, started taunting Ayesha for not bringing sufficient dowry and subjected her to severe torture and she subsequently loss her life.
