The IDA, announcing its annual results, said that employment levels via FDI had reached 229,057, the highest level in the 70 years that the agency has been in existence. It said that 58 per cent of all employment created by foreign companies was located outside Dublin, another record high. Total job gains in FDI companies in 2018 amounted to 14,040, a jump of 7 per cent compared with 3 per cent in a national context.
