Hill's resignations follows that of British Prime Minister David Cameron, who backed the Remain campaign. "I came to Brussels as someone who had campaigned against Britain joining the euro and who was sceptical about Europe. However, he will continue in his role for a few more weeks in order to undertake a proper handover of duties.
