Dewald Brevis scored an impressive 104 off 110 balls as South Africa beat Uganda by 121 runs at the U19 Cricket World Cup on Tuesday. After winning the toss and opting to bat first at Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain, the Junior Proteas posted 231-9 off their allotted 50 overs, before dismissing Uganda for 110 in 33.4 overs. Other notable contributors with the bat were SA captain George van Heerden (36 off 45 balls) and wicketkeeper Kaden Solomons (27 off 46). The Ugandans never looked up to the task of chasing as they lost wickets at regular intervals. South Africa, who lost their opening match by 45 runs to India over the weekend, finish their Group B campaign against Ireland in Tarouba, Trinidad and Tobago on Friday.
