Judge Brett Kavanaugh has been appointed to the United States Supreme Court in the closest confirmation vote for a justice in 137 years. The final Senate vote held just before 4pm Saturday passed 50-48, with a slim margin of just two votes. There have only been two closer votes in the history of the Supreme Court, both decided by a single senator.
