Work has begun on a new primary electricity sub-station that will switch on Snetterton by increasing the power supply to the village. Breckland Council has promised that the new sub-station, at Snetterton Heath will make it easier for businesses to set up and grow in the area once it is completed in a year’s time. Sam Chapman-Allen, leader of Breckland Council, said the development will deliver an additional six megawatts to the Snetterton employment zone, as well as creating 1,750 new jobs and bringing in £220 million in private sector investment.
