Breast cancer sufferers' crusade for more medicine

Breast cancer sufferers' crusade for more medicineSUPPLIED If New Zealand had better access to medicines, it would mean Rochell Adams would be able to be around for her 11-year-old son for longer. Women across the country with advanced breast cancer are joining forces to campaign for better access to medicines. The Breast Cancer Aotearoa Coalition (BCAC) is launching a campaign today calling for increased access, not only for those with breast cancer but other diseases. Adams was first diagnosed with breast cancer on St Patrick's Day in 2009. BCAC's chair Libby Burgess says the campaign highlights the distressing plight of women with advanced breast cancer.
