A major attack by Boko Haram terrorists was underway in Cameroon’s far north on Friday evening local time, and a newspaper reported that there was commotion in at least one village. Reliable Cameroonian newspaper, L’Oeil du Sahel, said the terrorists were currently attacking the village of Samana in Bargaram district in Cameroon’s far north. Thousands of women and children have also been kidnapped and hundreds of schools have remained shut for years. In neighboring Nigeria, where the terrorists began bombing and killing in 2009, at least 110 schoolgirls were kidnapped on 19 February. The ordeal only came to an end on Wednesday following negotiations with the administration of Muhammadu Buhari, a retired Major General who vowed to eliminate Boko Haram but failed to deliver.
