New Zealand Breakers owner Matt Walsh wants to further boost the progress of Esports in his adopted country. Walsh has joined the executive committee of the New Zealand Esports Federation, which in was recognised as the official sporting body of esports in New Zealand by Sport New Zealand, HTT News reported. Walsh formed and owns Black Sheep, New Zealand’s first major esports organisation with its own Auckland-based training facility, and the backing of a professional sporting club. New Zealand was the twenty-fifth nation to recognise a national body for esports, as efforts are being made to add esports to the Paralympics and Olympics.
