All in an effort to highlight the challenges girls face and to promote the empowerment of young women and girls. The Danish prime minister had scheduled a ten minute meeting with Maisha and Farjana but the meeting lasted more than 40 minutes. Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen was very impressed with the girls and their determination to change their country for the better. Karen Ellemann, the Danish minister for Equal Opportunities, felt touched by meeting the girls from Bangladesh. In April this year they met with the Danish Crown Princess Mary and the Danish Minister for Development, when the two visited Bangladesh.
