Brathwaite scored a four and a couple off Ebadot to help West Indies into the lead while Bonner pulled a short delivery from Khaled Ahmed for his first four of the day. Brathwaite then brought up a 174-ball fifty while the third wicket pair also extended the partnership past 50 as West Indies entered the lead. While West Indies got through the first hour without losing any wicket, Shakib Al Hasan struck in the first over after the drinks interval. Brathwaite played an uncharacteristic swipe across the line to a Shakib delivery for a four to midwicket fence. Brief scores: Bangladesh 103 trail West Indies 159/3 (Kraigg Brathwaite 75*, Nkrumah Bonner 33; Mustafizur Rahman 1-11) by 56 runs.
