Kulwant Litt, who lied repeatedly to police and the court about his role in covering up the 2009 killing of Poonam Litt, was told he will only be incarcerated for one more day. Kulwant Litt’s daughter, Mandeep Punia, and son-in-law, Skinder Punia, have already been convicted and sentenced. Earlier this week Kulwant Litt, 67, was escorted to the glassed-in prisoner’s box inside a Brampton courtroom by two Peel police officers. Kulwant Litt then lied to police saying he had heard his daughter-in-law getting ready for work the next morning. Kulwant Litt, Mandeep Punia and Skinder Punia were interviewed by police and arrested shortly after.
