As Marchand showed with four goals and seven points in 10 games back then, the answer was a resounding yes. “I think he’s more skilled than he is a pest now,” Canada’s assistant coach Bill Peters told Postmedia News in May. “That’s a long ways away, but there’s a championship game here, we got to think about that first,” said Marchand. And not only is he scoring goals, but he’s keeping his nose relatively clean with just four penalty minutes.
