KUCHING: Fire and Rescue Department personnel from Petra Jaya rushed to rescue a 10-year-old boy who was trapped inside a drain culvert on Monday. The state Bomba said it was alerted over the 6pm incident in front of SK Semerah Padi in the Petra Jaya housing area, about 15km from here, by members of the public. Fire and Rescue team rescuing the boy trapped inside a drain in front of SK Semerah Padi near Kuching city. The boy had somehow gotten trapped beneath the cemented surface of the monsoon drain. The gallant effort took about an hour and the rescued boy was handed over to the ambulance medical team without any serious injuries.
