A young boy got into trouble at Waingaro Hot Springs on Thursday evening (file photo). A boy has almost drowned at a Waikato hot springs sparking a warning about kids and water safety as summer approaches. The swimmer had to be pulled from a pool at Waingaro Hot Springs and resuscitated on Thursday evening. Water Safety New Zealand CEO Jonty Mills said as summer approaches it's a good time to remind people to always think about water safety. Waingaro Hot Springs was approached for comment but they didn't want to respond.
