KOTA BARU: A Form Two student lost his right eye and injured his left hand when a mishap occurred while he was playing with firecrackers at Kampung Panji, near here, last Tuesday. Eiman Najwan Anwar Fuad, 14, was with his friend and had placed the firecracker, a ‘mercun bola’ in a bottle when it exploded. Eiman, a student of SMK Panji student, went blind on his right eye and sustained injuries on his left hand. I hugged the boy to comfort him and when I realised the victim was my own son, I almost fainted. “The incident has left my son blind in one eye and with all five fingers on his left hand injured,” she said.
