The boy was in moderate condition, and was flown from the Waikawau Boat Ramp to Waikato Hospital. A boy was flown to hospital from the Coromandel Peninsula after he was hurt by a boat trailer. St John Ambulance was called to Waikawau Boat Ramp around 6.50am on Saturday, a spokeswoman said. The incident was classed as a motor vehicle accident, the St John spokeswoman said, and an ambulance and helicopter attended. Fire and Emergency New Zealand also attended, but referred all questions to St John.
