A lawyer has labelled case "absurd" after a child from Brasher Falls was charged with third-degree rape on Thanksgiving, reports said. The report was made to New York State Police in the area near the US-Canada border on March 23, according to WWNYTV. According to US reports the boy would not have been able to be charged under Albany laws if he was six. The Mirror has approached the New York State Police for information.
