A boy aged 11 drowned in a dam as he tried to fetch water from it in a village in Kwale. Police said the deceased was in the company of his sister and were fetching water at a dam in Duguni village when the incident happened on July 30. His body was removed moments later and taken to the local mortuary pending other procedures, police said. In Mwiki, Nairobi, one Stanley Ndirangu, 37, collapsed and died in his house as he fetched water from a basin. The body was moved to the mortuary after the Sunday night incident pending further probe and autopsy, police said.
