Second, Wonder Woman is a huge hit because audiences wanted to see a Wonder Woman movie. In an era where every week seems to bring a new would-be event film, Wonder Woman is an honest-to-goodness event. Audiences wanted a Deadpool movie, they wanted a Harley Quinn-centric Suicide Squad and yeah, they darn well wanted a Wonder Woman movie. But they darn well wanted Wonder Woman.
