Due to a smaller-than-expected overseas figure, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will pass the global cume of Fate of the Furious today instead of yesterday. Sorry about that, but the film has still ended its fourth week of release with $1.235 billion worldwide. The Walt Disney sci-fi actioner has earned $580.3 million domestic in 28 days of release, as well as $655m overseas in about 31 days of release. That compares to the 39% fifth-weekend drop for Rogue One and the 38% fifth-weekend drop for The Force Awakens. If it can crawl to $600m before Friday, it'll still be the second-fastest such sprint behind The Force Awakens.
