In short, if summer 2019 isn’t a huge win for Paramount, it might be terminated as a big-scale movie studio. Unlike their competition, Paramount won’t have much left if the summer 2019 output falls short. At the very least, these big Paramount pictures will be threatened by an incredibly crowded summer movie slate. And heck, the Terminator movie will be distributed overseas by 20th Century Fox, so Paramount will be counting on North American interest to justify that one. Four movies over six weeks will tell the tale, although even a blockbuster Spongebob movie won't do much if the live-actioners stumble.
