Warner Bros. had the big superhero movie, the big adult drama and the big horror movie this summer. Sony’s Spider-Man: Homecoming earned another $2.7 million (-35%) over the weekend for a $318.8m domestic total. So, 3D and inflation notwithstanding, Spider-Man: Homecoming has passed the domestic total of Iron Man ($318m in 2008). Universal/Comcast Corp.’s Girls Trip earned another $2.267m (-42%) in its sixth weekend and $108m domestic and $120m worldwide total. It’s winding down, but Will Packer’s $19m-budgeted comedy should end up just past the $113m domestic total of Bad Moms.
