Yes, it's early, and we don't know how the film will play after opening weekend and around the world. But for the moment, Saban's Power Rangers performed about as well as could have been expected. Imagine that, a Power Rangers movie playing best with the actual target audience of the actual show. It wasn't until the second trailer, which arrived just two months before release, that we got a look at the new Power Rangers being Power Rangers. I never thought we'd be looking at Power Rangers of all things as an example of doing it (mostly) right, but here we are...
