This weekend box office report will be specifically about the three new expansions, namely Patriot's Day, Live By Night and Silence. CBS Films and Lionsgate’s Patriot’s Day is somewhat underperforming. Deepwater Horizon cost $110m to make while Patriot’s Day cost just over 1/3 of that. Even Deepwater Horizon earned a 3x multiplier ($61m/$20m) with no actual awards buzz. Hacksaw Ridge turned a $15 million debut into a $65m-and-counting domestic and $157m worldwide cume.
