So what does this mean for the already-in-production Godzilla vs. Kong? They didn't rush into the big "monster versus monster" flick, releasing instead a Godzilla movie, a King Kong prequel, a Godzilla sequel and then Godzilla Vs. Kong. Don't engage in pricey reshoots, don't retool Godzilla vs. Kong in light of King of the Monsters' under-performance. Long-story-short, just because Godzilla: King of the Monsters may struggle to top $425 million worldwide doesn't mean Godzilla Vs. Kong is DOA. It didn't work with Justice League or Solo, and it won't work with Godzilla Vs. Kong.
