Walt Disney's Beauty and the Beast earned another $13.6 million (-45%) in weekend five for a new $454.7m 31-day domestic cume. The $60 million animated reboot earned just $6.8 million in its second weekend, a harsh drop of 49%. The Jordan Peele-written/directed social thriller earned another $2.9 million (-28%) for a new $167.5m domestic cume. We're looking at an $85-$90m domestic total, so China and Japan really have to kick butt for this one to justify a sequel. The 1970's-set monster mash earned another $2.67 million (-52%) on 2,018 screens for a new $161.246m domestic cume.
