Speaking of which, skipping around a bit, Paramount/Viacom Inc.'s xXx: Return of Xander Cage earned around $3.7 million (-57%) in its third weekend of domestic release. Meanwhile, the two Oscar season titans, Hidden Figures and La La Land, continued to pack them in. That will give the Dev Patel/Nicole Kidman drama a $24.6m domestic total. Aside from La La Land and Hidden Figures, Lion is the big winner of the Oscar season as it would have mostly finished sans high-profile nominations. That means Doctor Strange has passed the $668m worldwide cume of Man of Steel.
