Crazy Rich Asians earned another $23.35 million in its third Fri-Sun weekend of domestic release. So Crazy Rich Asians, Wed-Sun debut and Fri-Mon third weekend notwithstanding, is doing Sixth Sense-worthy business. Does that mean that Constance Wu and Henry Golding’s Crazy Rich Asians is going to flirt with a $300 million domestic while earning several major Oscar nominations? But even if it drops dead (also doubtful), Jon M. Chu’s $30m romantic comedy has earned $117m in its first 20 days of domestic release. It’ll soon be the biggest romantic comedy in unadjusted domestic earnings since The Silver Linings Playbook ($132m in 2012).
