Brad Bird's action/comedy superhero sequel The Incredibles 2 is tracking at, so sayeth The Hollywood Reporter, a $140 million debut weekend when it opens on June 15 in North America. Presuming this figure doesn't decline, it'll be bigger than the $135m debut weekend of Finding Dory back in June of 2016. If the movie plays, I would almost (almost) put that $140 million tracking guestimate as a low-ball figure. Of course, even with a much bigger opening ($174m versus $135m), Beauty and the Beast still pulled in only $18m more ($504m versus $486m) than Finding Dory. Crazy-irresponsible-math-alert, but a $162m debut plus conventional Pixar summer legs (3.5-3.95x) gets the flick to a final gross of $565-$640m domestic.
