Infinity War won’t have that advantage, but it also won’t have Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Greatest Showman swiping family audiences. Nor does Infinity War have a media narrative suggesting that everyone hated it despite rave reviews, huge box office and solid audience polling. So, absent any holidays and in the middle of the school year, Infinity War is still doing quite well. It looks like Avengers: Infinity War will earn $115-$120 million over its second weekend of domestic release. Its 53-55% drop is decent for such a huge grosser, but it’s still the second-biggest drop for a $200m+ opener behind The Last Jedi.
