The film has already, counting China’s Thursday gross, earned $1.262 billion overseas alone. That puts the IMAX-shot MCU sequel in fourth place among all international grossers, behind only Avengers: Infinity War ($1.37 billion), Titanic ($1.528 billion) and Avatar ($2.027 billion). Whether or not it passes Titanic’s global gross by Sunday, it’s now inevitable. The latter, by the way, has now earned over $20 billion worldwide among 22 movies in 11 years. That averages out to $921 million worldwide per release.
