[+] Disney's 'Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker' Walt Disney and LucasfilmStar Wars: The Rise of Skywalker dominated Christmas Day as expected, earning a robust $32 million Wednesday gross. That’s the second-biggest Christmas Day gross on record, between the $27 million day-11 gross (its second Monday) of Star Wars: The Last Jedi and the $49 million day-eight gross (its second Friday) of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Unlike Rogue One and Last Jedi, Rise of Skywalker went straight from its opening weekend right into the extended two-week holiday break period. And if it holds the line over the weekend, then it could be close to $800 million worldwide by Sunday night.
